About the Author
Keith Connes is an avionics expert and well-known aviation
author. He has written more than a thousand articles for
numerous general aviation publications, including FLYING,
AOPA Pilot, Professional Pilot, The Aviation
Consumer, Plane & Pilot, Private Pilot,
KITPLANES, Custom Planes, General Aviation
News & Flyer, Rotor & Wing and Air Progress.
Keith holds a Commercial Pilot certificate with ASEL, ASES,
AMEL, Instrument, and Glider ratings, and has logged some
7,500 hours. He has owned five airplanes, including the
Grumman American Tiger shown above.
